Ministry in Action

Here's a video about our ministry in action: Mission Causes

Reaching out to our community and beyond, Trinity's ministry is an active part of who we are.  Here are some examples of the work we do:

  • One Great Hour of Sharing Collection

  • Backpack Ministry - providing weekend meals to local school children who might go without - serving about 30 children at Scotia schools.

  • Giving to and supporting Rohingya refugees settling in the Capital District

  • Our special mission support - Haiti Mission School at Labastille - Trinity people participate in yearly trips. www.haitimissionschool.org  Please keep the mission and its people in your prayers!

  • Scott and Elmarie Parker are Presbyterian Ecumenical Partners for Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. Visit their website here: Partners

  • CROP Walk - Sunday, May 5, 2019 CROP Walk FAQ

Education

Trinity's Sunday school provides Christian education to pre-Kindergarten thru Middle School children.

You are officially invited to our 2020 Vacation Bible School!  Please tell a friend (or 5), that we will still be offering a thoughtful and fun program for the kids this summer. Stay tuned for more announcements and specific details, by registering for our email group.   Email Sarah Stygles at education@firstreformedscotia.org, to join the email group, or to pre-reserve your spot(s)!  We are so happy that during this seemingly shaky & changing environment, we can provide comfort and a firm foundation for our children through the church and our VBS program!  We are currently prepping for a virtual experience but are also keeping our eyes on regulations for safety and security.  We are confident it will be a wonderful program regardless of our ability (or inability) to gather.
